Hello, world. Again.

Every few years I convince myself I need a blog. I set one up, write two posts, and then abandon it the moment work gets interesting. This is attempt number who-knows.

The difference this time is scope. This site has no analytics to watch and no theme to endlessly fiddle with. It’s a folder of markdown files. The only feature is writing.

So what goes here? Musings, mostly:

• things I learned building software that I wish someone had told me earlier
• opinions I hold a little too strongly about tools, design, and process
• notes to my future self, published on the off chance they help someone else

The best time to start a blog was ten years ago. The second best time is after you’ve stopped caring whether anyone reads it.
